Description:
The erect, moderately sized, sympodial plants are normally terrestrial but they also grow epiphytically at the base of moss-covered tree trunks.
Pseudobulb:
2.5 cm long and ovoid.
Leaves:
3-4 per growth. The leaves are 20-40 cm long, arising directly from the apex of the pseudobulb. Light green and narrowly lanceolate, the foliage is thinly textured.
Inflorescence:
35-45 cm long. Each growth may produce 4-5 laxly flowered spikes, which arise from between the leaves.
Flowers:
5-10 per inflorescence. The flowers are 3.5-6.0 cm across. The greenish yellow blossoms are marked with bright yellow in the center of the lip.
Habitat:
In humid evergreen forests at elevations of 500 to 1100 meters .
