Description:

Stem reed-like. Leaves plicate. Lip saccate to deeply spurred, constricted near the middle. Gynostemium long and slender or short and massive, swollen at the apex. Clinandrium well-developed, arising from the fusion of the staminodes with a very short filament and the part of the style below the stigma, wing-like at the apex in some cases, embracing the back and both sides of the anther.
