Description:

Reed like stem or pseudobulbs present. Inflorescence terminal. Lip saccate to spurred. Column foot reduced. Column erect, usually short and massive. Clinandrium spacious, more or less dentale on the margin. Rostellum shelf-like, truncate. Viscidium produced occasionally, single, small.

Tegula single, small, lamellate, found in Glomera Blume only. Anther suberect to incumbent, 2-chambered, movable. Pollinia 4, nearly superposed, dorsiventrally flattened, clavate to obovate.

Caudicles apparently absent.
