Description:
Roots fleshy, densely distributed along the underground rhizome. Leaves, if present, two, opposite, subplicate. Lip concave basally, usually two-lobed apically sometimes with two small lobules at the base. Gynostemium slender. Staminodes forming a slightly petaloid structure behind the anther. Rostellum sensitive. Viscidium lacking in autogamous species.
