Description:
Plants acaulis leaves 5-7 slightly, rigid, attenuate toward the apex, sub acute. Inflorescences single flowered, flowers not opening well, spur short and recurved clavate. This species as in previous one is very enigmatic with the type not existing in the herbarium in Paris. It is said to occur in Macarenes and not is Madagascar by Ridley (loe. cit.) and Cordemoy (FI. Reunion, 210) reporting this species from plants which have a very different aspect to them. The leaves are of a form not known in any other examples except for plants in the genus Aeranthes, making it very difficult for easy recognition. The specimen that was presented by young Thouars is evidently in fruit and in this plant the antheses and quite probably the flowers are as in others of the Angraecums.
Habitat:
At elevations of 700 to 2200 meters.
Cultivation:
As given for the genus, warm to cold growing epiphyte.
Distribution:
Mascarenes, Madagascar
