Description:
Plants with the look of Platylepis polyadenia; differing by the leaves often being smaller (8-10 x 2.8-4,2 cm.); the bracts thicker, with their veins less apparent; labellum 7 veined, thinner, not verrucose exteriorly, the basal gibbosite each containing 2 elongated, spatulate calluses, accompanied in front on the narrow part of the labellum, with 2 other small calluses more obsolete, and provided basally with 2 projecting keels, crest like and diverging above the center; the anther shorter and wider basally; the rostellum points shorter; the staminodes thicker and the stigmas more projecting and more rounded.
Habitat:
In highland forests at elevations of 600 to 1160 meters.
