Description:
A glabrous caulescent epiphyte; roots 0-23 cm. in diam,; stem stout, 0,4-0,5 cm. in diam.; leaves 2-3, mostly crowded at the apex of the stem, erect-spreading ligulate somewhat undulate unequally bilobed, the lobes somewhat obtuse, the medial nerve depressed, coriaceous, 8-5 cm. long, 1-4-1 -6 cm. wide; racemes horizontally spreading or somewhat ascending, rigid 7-10 flowered, 2-4 cm. long; flowers usually erect white; pedicels with the ovaries 0,8-0,9 cm. long; lateral sepals spreading- oblong oblanceolate subacute 0,6 cm. long, 0-22 cm. wide in the broader part; odd sepal erect oblong- obtuse somewhat concave, provided at the base on each side of the margin with a tooth, 0,6 cm. long, 0,45 cm. wide; petals erect-spreading obliquely ovate somewhat acute, a little shorter than the sepals, 0,32 cm. wide; limb of the lip ovate obtuse concave recurved at the apex, as long as the petals; spur inflated at the base, then cylindrical, incurved 2 cm. long ; column incurved oblong or somewhat rhomboidal dilated below the middle; rostellum without bearded appendages, pollinia lenticular attached by filiform caudicle9s to the ovate glands.
Habitat:
In coastal forests on twigs and branches at elevations of sea level to 200 meters.
Cultivation:
Mounted, in intermediate temperatures and light to moderate shade, with plenty of water during the growing season, but much less in winter.

SE. Cape Prov. to KwaZulu-Natal
