Description:
Plant 1 ft. high, stout; leaves solitary, orbicular; scapes 1 ft. high, stout, pilose, with a few ovate acuminate sheaths; racemes 4 in. long; bracts acuminate, glabrous, as long as the pedicels; flowers 1/2 in. long; sepals ovate-oblong, subobtuse, glabrous, 1-nerved, dorsal 3 1/2 lin. long, lateral 2 1/2 lin. long; petals 1/2 in. long, linear-oblong below, then somewhat dilated, divided nearly to the middle into 6 linear obtuse segments; lip as long as the petals, flabellate, with a narrow base, the upper third divided into about 18 linear obtuse lobes; spur conical, obtuse, curved, 2 1/2 lin. long; column broad, rather over 1 lin. long.
