Description:
Plant with long scandent stems bearing long, branching aerial roots amongst the widely spaced leaves, up to 100 cm long or more. Leaves 2 cm apart, spreading, in 2 rows, narrowly elliptic, 1.7-3.5 cm long above a basal sheath clasping the stem, 0.8-1.5 cm wide. Inflorescences arising from the base of the leaf sheath, erect or spreading, 5-7 cm long, 3- to 6-flowered; bracts small, 4 mm long; pedicel with ovary slender, 10 mm long. Flowers white or cream, sometimes tinted with yellow or orange; sepals elliptic, obtuse, 7-8.5 mm long; petals similar but narrower; lip 3-lobed in the upper two thirds, lobes oblong, rounded, 16-17 mm long in total; spur S-shaped, narrowing from a wide mouth and slightly inflated at the apex, 2.5-3 cm long.
Habitat:
Epiphyte and on rocks, along forest margins and on plantation trees, often in exposed positions in humid situations; flowering October and November.
