Description:
One of the smallest species. Roots fine, white-streaked, 1 mm in diameter. Leaves two to five, 2-6 cm x 4-6 mm, linear or strap-shaped. Inflorescences 1-1.5 cm long, densely 3- to 7-flowered. Flowers translucent yellowish-green, 6-7 mm in diameter. Sepals 3-4 x 1 mm, oblanceolate, acute, petals and lip 1-2 mm long, triangular, acute; spur 6-7 mm long, very slender from a wide mouth.
Habitat:
Epiphytic at a low level, growing on twigs and small branches in deep shade in forest and scrub, often near a river, to 500 m.
Cultivation:
Heavy shade with high humidity, in intermediate temperatures.
Distribution:
SE. Cape Prov. to NE. KwaZulu-Natal
