Description:
Plant with slender, erect or pendent stems, often growing in dense tufts, to 35 cm long. Leaves oblong to ligulate, unequally and obtusely bilobed at the apex, 2-5 cm long, 5-9 mm wide. Inflorescences short, up to 1 cm long, 3- to 6-flowered; peduncle 3 mm long; pedicel with ovary slightly hairy, 5 mm long. Flowers whitish or yellowish; sepals and petals 3-5 mm long, 1-2 mm wide; lip concave, oval to elliptic, with 2 minute lobules at the base, acute, 3-3.5 mm long, 3 mm wide; spur briefly narrowing below the wide mouth and then inflated in the apical half, 2.5-4 mm long.
Habitat:
Epiphyte in dense evergreen forests, usually on the upper branches of large trees; flowering July to November.
Cultivation:
As given for the genus, warm growing epiphyte.
