Vanilla humblotii Rchb.f., Gard. Chron., n.s., 25: 726 (1885).
Description:
This species differs from the preceding by its thicker stems; the veins of the petals and labellum thicker, front margins fringed, covered entirely on the upper side with large papilla and bristles being much more numerous and dense; the column shorter (2 cm at most) and thicker, the staminodes crenulate apically; the anther and the rostellum much larger and the stigmas thicker, sub entire apically. The flowers are a canary yellow, with the base of the labellum of a velvety red.
Habitat:
Around rocks in low elevation vegetation at elevations of sea level to 200 meters.
