Vanilla crenulata Rolfe, J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 32: 477 (1896).
Description:
Stem slender. Leaf 5- 1 0 cm, oblong - elliptical, waxy, yellow-green. Inflorescence a long hanging raceme. Flowers large, white or yellow with purple markings on the lip. July-Aug.
Habitat:
Climbs the basal parts of the trunks. Open shade, large humus deposits.
Notes:
Climber. Sizes up to three meters in length have been observed. in a flowerless state this species is difficult to differentiate from Vanilla africana
