Aeranthes tenella var. borbonica Bosser, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat., B, Adansonia 11: 36 (1989).
Description:
This variety differs from Aeranthes tenella by the curious way that the inflorescences are borne on short branches in bundles of 2-10, and by the peduncles that are shorter than the leaves with more nodes. The leaves and flowers are very similar to those of Aeranthes tenella from Madagascar.
Habitat:
Epiphyte in humid forest; 400-700 m; flowering in March and December.
