Brachycorythis pleistophylla var. pleistophylla.
Description:
Flowers drying very dark brown or nearly black. Petals semi-orbicular, longer than broad, obtuse. Lip elliptical, longer than broad; side lobes acute or obtuse.
Habitat:
Grassland, open woodland and dambo margins 1100–2200 m.
Cultivation:
As given for the genus.
Distribution:
Trop. & S. Africa, Madagascar
