Description:

Terrestrial herb 20–50 cm tall, with fusiform tuberous roots. Stem leafy. Leaves 4.5–6.5 × 1.2–2 cm, lanceolate, acute, glabrous. Inflorescence densely many-flowered, 14–16 × 5–6 cm;pedicel 11–12 mm long; bracts leaf-like, longer than the flowers. Flowers purple-pink to whitish-mauve, the lip with darker marks. Dorsal sepal 8–11 × 2.8–5 mm, ovate, obtuse, very convex; lateral sepals 6.5–12.5 × 2.3–5 mm, obliquely lanceolate. Petals up to 11.8 × 4.5 mm, ovate with a dorsal keel, obtuse, joined to column at the base. Lip hypochile 3.5–6 mm long; epichile 9–10 × 4.8–6.2 mm, orbicular to oblong; spur 6–7 mm long, conical, obtuse. Column 3.5–6 mm long.
