Brachycorythis conica subsp. transvaalensis Summerh., Kew Bull. 10: 245 (1955).
Homotypic Synonyms:

Gyaladenia conica subsp. transvaalensis (Summerh.) Szlach., Richardiana 6: 79 (2006).
Description:

This subspecies, like the others, appears to have a relatively restricted distribution, occurring only in part of the Transvaal. It is a rather robust plant, somewhat similar to subsp. longilabris in general appearance, though smaller specimens approach subsp. conica. In subsp. transvaalensis the epichile of the labellum is relatively broad and usually shortly trilobed at the apex; in the specimen figured in the " Flowering Plants of South Africa " the central lobe is very small and the epichile therefore appears to be bilobed.
