Description:

This, the typical subspecies, is more slender than either of the other two with the leaves more laxly arranged. The epichile of the labellum is about as broad as long with a truncate apex divided into three very short lobes. The central one is triangular while the two lateral ones tend to be somewhat incurved. The margins are usually slightly sinuate. The spur of the hypochile is incurved conical with a rather narrow apex.
