Description:
Stems short, 1-6 cm long. Leaves several, 12-40 x 1-2 cm, unequally bilobed at the apex, each lobe with two teeth. Inflorescence a dense head to 3 cm long; pedicel and ovary 5 mm long; bracts 2-3 mm long. Flowers white, with scurfy hairs on the outside. Sepals 3.5-4.5 x 2 mm, elliptic, obtuse. Petals 4 x 1 mm, oblong. Lip 4.5-7.5 x 3-4.5 mm, obscurely trilobed; side lobes rounded, midlobe ovate, acute, recurved; spur wide-mouthed, 5-6 mm long, sharply bent in the basal half and recurved towards the swollen apex. Column 2 mm long.
Habitat:
Epiphytic in evergreen forest, 1100-1300 m (3600-4300 ft.).
Cultivation:
As given for the genus, cool growing epiphyte.
