Description:
Stems short, to 10 cm long. Leaves several, 15-30 x 1.5-2 cm, linear, stift and leathery, unequally bilobed at the apex, each lobe with two to three sharp teeth. Inflorescences 1.5 x 2.5 cm, densely many-flowered; bracts brown and papery, to 1 cm long. Flowers white, the lip with a green blotch. Sepals 5-6 x 2-3 mm, oblong, obtuse; petals slightly smaller. Lip 4.5-6 x 4-5 mm, ovate, concave; spur 7-8.5 mm long, straight or slightly incurved, swollen at the tip. Column 2-3 mm long.
Habitat:
Evergreen forest, in heavy shade, 500-1300 ft.
Cultivation:
Hot to cool growing epiphyte. It usually flowers in early spring (March and April).
