Description:
Plant 3/4–1 ft. high; leaves 3–5, radical or subradical, linear or linear-oblong, subacute, 1 1/2–3 in. long, 1/6– 1/3 in. broad; scapes 3/4–1 ft. high, somewhat flexuous, with 4–6 lanceolate sheaths; racemes oblong or subcapitate, 1/2–1 1/2 in. long, somewhat recurved, dense; bracts ovate, acuminate, 1/4– 1/3 in. long; flowers white (Wood); sepals ovate or ovate-oblong, subobtuse, 1/4 in. long, 3-nerved; petals broadly subacute, half as long as the sepals, 1-nerved; lip nearly as long as the sepals, 3-lobed, slightly pubescent; side lobes falcate-ovate, subobtuse; front lobe linear-oblong, subobtuse, twice as long as the side lobes; disc with 3 minute tubercles at the base; spur cylindrical, obtuse, nearly as long as the limb; column short and broad.
Habitat:
Found near river rather than on rocky ridges.
