Description:
Plant spreading or pendent, with short stems 1–3 cm long. Leaves 4–6, linear to oblanceolate, falcate, twisted at the base so that they lie in one plane, acutely bilobed at the apex, 6–20 cm long, 5–11 mm wide. Infl orescences usually several, bearing 2–8 flowers close together in the apical third, 5–10 cm long; bracts ovate-triangular, 1–1.5 mm long; pedicel with ovary 5–6 mm long. Flowers pale green; dorsal sepal ovate, obtuse, 2 mm long, 1 mm wide; lateral sepals oblanceolate, obtuse, 3.5–4 mm long, 1 mm wide; petals obliquely triangular, acute, 1.5–1.8 mm long and wide; lip 3- lobed in the middle, side lobes linear acute, slightly shorter than the mid-lobe, in total 3–3.6 mm long and wide; spur incurved, slightly inflated at the upturned apex, 5–9 mm long.
Habitat:
In lower montane forest; 600–1600 m; flowering at various times.
Cultivation:
As given for the genus, warm to cool growing epiphyte.
Distribution:
Côte d'Ivoire eastwards to Tanzania and south to Mozambique and Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Mauritius, and Réunion.
