Plants terrestrial, 35-45 cm tall, pseudobulbs napiform or connical-orbicular, distant, 6-8 sided, obtuse and with 3 leaves, concealed basally by 4 whitish sheaths, the upper of which has the rudiments of a limbus. Leaves sessile, elliptical-linear (10-15 x 0,6-1.2 cm), obtuse, thick, coriaceous, flat-ascending, dark green maculate with splotches of blackish, articulation only slightly obvious, just above the base. Inflorescence upright, ser pale green, developing prior to the new bulb; cluster simple and loosely 8-15 flowered: bracts linear, thin, scarious, pendent, 2 cm or more long, much longer than the pedicel; flowers yellowish-green, with one reddish lines and a splotch of orange at the base of the labellum. Sepals narrowly spatulate (17-22 x 3 mm) near the apex), 3 veined. Petals oval (8 x 5 mm), shortly apiculate, 3 veined, the laterals branched. Labellum nearly truncate (1.2 cm long and wide), 4 lobed, bearing a small yellowish papilla, near the base and 2 calluses in the form of thick lamellas, 2 mm tall; lobes sub equal, wide and obtuse: spur subglobulous (2.2 x 2 mm), column 4-5 mm, without a foot, thickened apically; posterior margin of the clinandrium deltoid-obtuse, to 1 mm long. Anther 2 mm tall, bearing a limbus in front and a small sub connical appendage behind; retinacle thick, sub triangular-connical, enlarging in front and forming a half circle.
